Reducing the harms and devastating consequences of alcohol misuse and illegal drugs is a priority for our community and for the Substance Abuse Advisory Council (SAAC).

The SAAC is a community coalition of individuals and organizations working together to strengthen policy, enforcement, and positive community norms for the substance-free development of our youth and to encourage responsible, healthy choices for families and adults.  The SAAC aims to promote the safe and legal use of alcohol and to reduce substance abuse problems in our community.  It is important to recognize that most people in our community responsibly and legally use alcohol and are drug-free.  We strive to highlight the positive and healthy choices made in our community, while addressing the harmful consequences caused by substance abuse.
